In this demo paper we present Docear's research paper recommender system. Pros: Completely free and open source, which means that anyone can fork and modify the code to their own needs. Docear also comes equipped with a unique document recommendation system that will automatically suggest new literature based upon what's already stored in the software's database, making additional research on a subject easier than ever. For example, within Docear, one can utilize reference management, PDF management and mind mapping without having to open more application on the machine. A citation in a mind-map can either be a link to a PDF file, or the bibliographic data that is attached to a node. Thanks to the software's "literature suite" design, multiple tools are combined in a single application. Citations in the mind-maps are replaced with the corresponding Docear-IDs, similarly to the replace-process of citations in the research articles (see section 4.2 and Figure 4).
